Osteopathy can help with a wide range of conditions, including back and neck pain, joint pain, headaches, pre/postnatal concerns, sports injuries, post concussion syndrome, gut health, and more.
Osteopathy works by using manual techniques such as massage, stretching, and manual therapy to improve the function of muscles, nerves, joints, fascia, circulation, and the internal organs. By restoring balance and mobility to the entire body, it can help alleviate pain and improve overall health.
Yes, osteopathy is generally considered safe when performed by a qualified and experienced practitioner. However, as with any medical treatment, there may be some risks and potential side effects. Your osteopath will discuss these with you before beginning treatment.
The number of sessions required will depend on your individual needs and the nature of your condition. Your osteopath will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that may involve sessions every ~2 weeks as needed.
Many insurance plans do cover osteopathy, but it’s best to check with your provider to confirm your coverage. Our clinic does offer direct billing to some 3rd party insurance providers but if yours is not on our list then we are happy to provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
