Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see a Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist, or TCMP/Acupuncturist?

No, you do not need a referral from a Medical Doctor to see one of our registered therapists.

Are your services covered by health insurance/extended benefits?

Physiotherapy, Clinical Pilates, Registered Massage Therapy, Registered TCM/Acupuncture and Intramuscular Stimulation are commonly included in extended health plans. Exercise Therapy may be included in new health and wellness plans from some employers. It is recommended to review your benefits package with your insurance provider as coverage varies between providers. The Medical Service Plan of BC (MSP) does provide some coverage for those who qualify for Premium Assistance. More information can be found here.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring:

  • BC CareCard
  • suitable attire that will be easy to move around in (ie. shorts for assessment of a lower body area, and a t-shirt or tank top for assessment of an upper body area)
  • referral notes from your doctor or other healthcare practitioners
  • any diagnostic testing (ie. x-ray, MRI, CT Scan) results relevant to your area of assessment
  • Please arrive promptly to your scheduled appointment. Arriving 10 minutes early for your first session will give you time to fill out our intake forms.
  • If you arrive late to your appointment, we will do our best with the remaining time left in the appointment.
Do you offer direct billing to extended health plans?

At this time we do not offer direct billing to extended health plans. We will provide you a receipt upon payment with the appropriate details to submit to your extended health provider.

Do you accept ICBC claims?

Yes we do accept ICBC claims for Physiotherapy services only. Please bring your claim number, any referrals from your doctor, and your adjustor’s name and number to your first session. If you have any questions regarding your claim, please call your adjustor for clarification.

Do you accept WorkSafe BC (WSBC) claims?

We do not currently offer physiotherapy to WSBC claimants.
